During the temporary closure for work at the Parisian studio-museum of the painter Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863), almost his entire collection traveled to Courbet (1819-1877) in his house-museum in Ornans in Doubs . Through the dialogue of their painting and what those around them tell us about the temperament of these opposing personalities who respect each other, the exhibition provokes, not without malice, the posthumous and unprecedented meeting between these two major figures of the 19th century.
