"" In my works, the act of masking, muzzling, erasing faces comes to answer several objectives. The first is to alter the individual identity of a person in favor of a plural identity; as when a warrior defends his person and that of others without expecting, in return, a reward. []
The second objective is to make the "portrait" character in the work disappear in order to emphasize an individual wearing a mask and playing one of the roles in the theater of the artistic action space, whether in the still image or the moving image (the video). The third objective is that the mask for me and in all its forms, is a metaphorical process to disguise and deceive a certain reality, to substitute a true reality to another false one. []
Also, whether in photography or video, I often emphasize the dimension of emptiness in which moves, "moves" the acting character, in order to seize moments of his ephemeral presence. The material is a metaphor for the body and the nebulous and trembling image."
