From June 1 to September 29, 2024, the Bouvet Ladubay contemporary art center will host the works of Christian Sorg. The exhibition brings together around forty works which demonstrate the artist's relationship with his environment as well as his different influences.
Indeed, Christian Sorg immerses himself in the landscapes in which he travels. From the medieval appearance and flora of the city of Aragon, through the cave paintings of Chauvet and the sculpted prehistoric idols, Sorg cites and exploits what surrounds him and questions the force of time on history. A characteristic of his abstract manner which gives us the title of the exhibition: “painting to tell the world”.
