Douze Preuves d’Amour – 9e édition de la Bourse Révélations Emerige.
The exhibition
In any case, the Emerige Revelations Bursary offers a relatively open horizon in terms of practices, as does the Salon de Montrouge with 39 artists and one collective participating this year. We can also feel affinities and diverse backgrounds, between the gestures and free canvases of Antonin Hako where we can read a graffiti background, the taste for a baroque theatricality detectable in Valentin Ranger and a porosity with the Internet culture that Théo Ghiglia's assemblages assume for example. Some of them already enjoy some recognition, like Léo Fourdrinier, invited this year to the Lyon Biennial, or Abdelhak Benallou for his hyperrealist drawing. Others have not yet exhibited their work, like the painters David Festoc or Dora Jeridi, whose Les Mangeurs d'images and Les Cris aveugles revive a certain historical painting linking Rebeyrolle, Veli?kovi? or Monory. Nefeli Papadimouli, for her part, has decided to show hers in different modalities: always seeking to link her works to the multiplicity of bodies, the fabric pieces she makes can be exhibited as sculptures as well as worn during performances.
