Dominique d'Acher, passage through the night
Discovering him for the first time, one thinks that showing Dominique d'Acher's work means having the courage not to show beautiful paintings but to expose a career that culminates in an illumination of a few years, viscerally illuminating its own night. This is the commendable decision taken by the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dole, in association with two other exhibitions at the Orangerie in Sens and the Chartier Gallery in Lyon, to bring this artist back to light.
