VAL, Sébastien Lilli, Brigitte Moreau Serre - From Chaos to Harmony
The exhibition
The cultural association SUMUS, created in 2020, wishes to "forge" the ideals of tomorrow, by developing projects focused on humanist and ecological issues. It is therefore quite natural that SUMUS has established itself in an old blacksmith's workshop, located in the Castello district of Venice. Symbolically renamed "The Forge of the Future", this atypical place designed to raise awareness, will host its first exhibition entitled "From Chaos to Harmony", from 9 April to 17 July 2022.
The exhibition From Chaos to Harmony is based on the symbolic richness of the number 7, whose mystical dimension refers to numerous multicultural references, from the seven chakras to the seven days of the creation of the world. It places the work of three international artists - VAL (Valérie Goutard), Sébastien Lilli and Brigitte Moreau Serre - in perspective with the history of the site, since the disused forge will only be renovated once the exhibition is over, in order to reopen in January 2023 in a new form, placed under the sign of harmony. The three artists highlight the theme of metamorphosis and spiritual elevation, giving life to a multi-sensory and multi-disciplinary experience, in which each artist expresses themselves through their favorite medium.
