"The places here, at La Baume-de-Transit, have made me dig into the traces of Greco-Roman civilisations, discovering the notions of space in poets and philosophers. Lately, I have come closer to the history of the Amerindians, their creative space without the spirit of land ownership. Through this nomadism I have returned to Poussin's The Plague of Ashdod and The Rape of the Sabine women, where the oblique lines create the action of space. This made me move towards a structure free of the "grid" where the elements of the landscapes were placed. I looked for a space in depth - like edges, clearings."
