Born in Leipzig, Germany, Elena Von Kohn was drawn to painting from an early age. She studied in Moscow and graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Moscow State Pedagogical University. In the 1990s, she moved to the United States and gradually began exhibiting her work across the country, in both group and solo shows.
