José-Maria Sicilia is an alchemist rather than a painter. An organic life seems to raise its pictorial material. Under the gold and gold, we retain the black color, burnt color, black earth, magmatic color, that of the ores taken from the stone, then melted and mixed in this expansion of chromaticisms.
