It is not an artistic universe in expansion nor in compression either, but rather a world in condensation. Alice Didier Champagne develops a sense of the simple, of a strategy of the infinitesimal, in the way that Bloch in Traces in 1930 already spoke of infinitesimal as a gesture or moment of ultimate suspense, of an end of the race that leads to the void, the fall, the catastrophe. Here, in the Formal Poems in Yellow and Blue, the fall is light, the catastrophe happy; the simple opens on the mystery of a renewed complexity, the fall allows the movement, the displacement, the exit of the painting in the space.
