Founding member of the collective: La Coopérative des Malassis (with Henri Cueco, Lucien Fleury, Jean-Claude Latil and Michel Parré from 1970 to 1978), Gérard Tisserand, a man of conviction and a committed painter, has always wanted his painting to be in deep concordance with his expectations and his questions as a citizen. Through a critical figuration of Western society, he testifies as a "painter inside his time" of the hazards of everyday life, denouncing the injustices of the world and the abuses of power both political and economic.
