Combining painting, photography and installation, Anne Commet gives shape to fragments of territories that have been travelled over and over again. Through the portrait of precise places at precise moments, this cartography of intimate landscapes questions the persistence and fragility of nature, our relationship with what surrounds us and its possible disappearance. The artist also raises the question of the representation of the landscape through different temporalities, that of the pictorial gesture, of the transfer, of the memory of the place and different materialities, that of the canvas, of the video or of the sound imprint.
