"The beautiful is always strange", Charles Baudelaire proclaimed in his time. Faced with Noémie Goudal's images, the eye wonders. Disturbed, it quickly loses its bearings and admits its inability to find its place. What are these landscapes? These constructions? What is this star? What about these stereoscopic images? It is very difficult for her to sort out what is real, what is fictitious, what is false and what is plausible. It is as if the photographer is doing everything to lose herself, unless she is offering her the opportunity - so rare today - to invent herself.
