As in the palaces of yesteryear, contemporary art has been designed within Richer de Belleval in harmony with the place. It naturally finds its place in spaces that have remained virgin or have lost their original decorations: the ceiling of a vaulted room, the box of a majestic staircase, the lantern of an Italian-style living room... The artists chosen by Numa Hambursin , the artistic director of the Foundation, were inspired by what has made the soul of the building over the centuries, its symbolic functions, its historical decorations, to draw from it the material for masterful works, which are now one with the architecture of the building. They echo the 17th century frescoes and sculptures that populate the mansion. The GGL Foundation will open its doors to the public in June 2021.
