Director of the Sainte-Geneviève library, Yves Peyré was also curator of libraries and directed the Jacques-Doucet literary library. Author of poems and stories, he has also published essays on painting, notably on Fautrier (1990) and Duchamp (2014) at Editions du Regard, as well as on poetry (Peinture et poésie, Gallimard 2001).
