"The book in my work is very important. It is a repertoire of forms, as you said, and a way of materializing the passing of time, the time that flees. There are also objects inside my pictorial devices that are books. For me, each book conceals within it a wave that rises up, that forms a wave that I give to see when I unfold the pages or that I stage them like an infinite continuation: the book is part of the sea... The book is also something that one can touch, it is a volume that one can move: the aesthetic aspect, the material aspect interests me a lot. [...]"
