The exhibition

A patio, historical costumes, fashion portraits; a lost dream of an influencer fishing for followers? More simply, a flying and unmissable exhibition which, missed in Nantes, can always be enjoyed in Dijon until autumn arrives.

The French eighteenth century is crazy about fashion; this one gives it back well and precipitates the history there... Let's observe. The latter is limited by two facts that raise questions: the generalization of French-style clothing - richly decorated vests and jackets, breeches, silk stockings - which, with Montesquieu, relegates sumptuary edicts to the rank of fiscal aberration and proves the success of Colbertism, which relies on the protection of the luxury industries; much later, then, the storming of the Bastille.
